This unit has been established to, among other goals
- provide beneficial avenue for parents to actively participate in their children's academic and personal growth, fostering a collaborative community that promotes excellence, inclusivity, and mutual support.
- become a model for parent engagement centers in Nigerian universities, leveraging collaborative partnerships to enhance student success, parental well-being, and community development.
ALUMNI RELATIONS: INSPIRING THE NEHEMIAH SPIRIT IN CALEB ALUMNI
The major focus of the Unit shall be to ensure that every Caleb graduate understand the imperative of their proactive engagement with the development of their alma mater. Like Nehemiah, we shall seek to build in them a spirit of concern and commitment to building the institution they once called their ‘home’.
Thus, our goals are to;
- foster a lifelong community of engaged and supportive Caleb University alumni, promoting mutual benefit and advancing the university's reputation.
- develop and implement effective strategies for alumni engagement, fostering strong relationships, and providing value-added services to Caleb University's growing community of alumni.
- enhance Alumni Engagement by increasing their participation in university events, volunteer opportunities, and mentorship programs.
- build Strong Relationships with Alumni by establishing and maintaining meaningful connections with alumni, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- provide Value-Added Services to Alumni by offering resources and support that enhance their personal and professional growth.
- promote University Advancement by encouraging alumni support for university initiatives, research, and development.
- envelop Sustainable Partnerships with our Alumni through collaborations with them, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive innovation and growth.

C-PEARS Director
Dr Solomon Abiodun Oyeleye
Dr Solomon Abiodun Oyeleye graduated from the University of Ibadan, with specialisation in applied communication.
His research interests cover health communication, media and journalism studies, climate change, conflict reporting, indigenous and political communication. He worked as professional journalist from 1997 till 2019 when he joined the faculty at Caleb University.
He has consulted for national and international bodies. He was part of the national team that developed the Federal Ministry of Health/UNICEF Training Programme on Advocacy and Social Mobilization for Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT) in Nigeria (2005-2010).
He also trained other Trainers and members of Social Mobilisation Action Teams (SMAT) in several states of the federation on implementing the policy. He was also involved with the development of Advocacy Material on Reproductive Health Commodity Security/Maternal Health in Nigeria for the United Nations Population Fund (2012).

He was one of two Nigerian scholars selected for the ‘Teaching Disinformation Studies in Higher Ed Workshop organized by Social Science Research Council (SSRC)’ March 19, 2021, and joint winner of the 2021 Unicef/IAMCR Communication for Development Grant on Trust and Mistrust in Communication during the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
He is a Fellow of the New Directions for Climate Communication Research (Nairobi, Kenya)2021, Fellow, Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development AI Accountability Reporting (2025). He has published in national and international peer reviewed journals. He served as Acting Head, Department of Mass Communication (2021-2025).
He is currently the National Secretary of the Association of Communication Scholars &Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), and Deputy Dean (Students Affairs) at Caleb University.
