This is the creative and technical engine of COCOMS. Our department immerses students in the professional world of audio and video production. From concept to screen, students gain hands-on mastery of television production, radio broadcasting, podcasting, sound design, cinematography, lighting, and directing.

Using industry-standard equipment in our studios and control rooms, students produce news programs, documentaries, talk shows, dramas, and music shows, building a professional portfolio that showcases their technical prowess and creative vision.

Dr. Atinuke Olubukade Akintayo

Dr. Atinuke Olubukade Akintayo who is the first female academic to Head of Department of Broadcasting in the history of the College of Communication and Media Studies, is a trained Broadcast Journalist and a Media Consultant.

She is passionate about imparting her wealth of experience to the next generation of communicators.

She has created an enriching learning environment where students benefit from real-world insights and theoretical foundations in Broadcasting.
