  • Assess and plan care. Conduct health assessments and develop and evaluate nursing care plans.
  • Apply nursing science. Integrate anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology into clinical practice.
  • Promote health. Deliver health education and preventive care to individuals and communities.
  • Work in healthcare teams. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • Practise ethically and legally. Apply nursing ethics, patient rights, and professional regulation.

How you'll be assessed.

Continuous assessment & examinations

Each course combines continuous assessment - assignments, tests, and class work - with an end-of-semester examination; weights and formats are set in each course outline.

Clinical placements

Supervised clinical placements and competency assessments confirm safe nursing practice.

External examiners

In line with NUC requirements, qualified academics from other universities moderate examinations and assess final-year projects.

NUC CCMAS compliance

Assessment follows the National Universities Commission's Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards for the discipline.
