What you'll be able to do.
Graduates leave equipped with the foundational rigour and the practical skills the field demands.
- Design buildings and spaces. Develop architectural designs that resolve functional, aesthetic, structural, and environmental demands.
- Produce technical documentation. Prepare working drawings, specifications, and models using current CAD and BIM tools.
- Apply building science. Integrate structure, services, materials, and sustainability principles into design decisions.
- Respond to context. Design for site, climate, regulation, and the social and cultural setting of each project.
- Manage the design process. Coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors across the stages of a building project.
- Communicate design ideas. Present and defend design proposals through drawing, modelling, and verbal argument.

Design studio & juries
Design projects are assessed through portfolios and studio juries alongside technical coursework.
External examiners
In line with NUC requirements, qualified academics from other universities moderate examinations and assess final-year projects.
NUC CCMAS compliance
Assessment follows the National Universities Commission's Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards for the discipline.
